Ingredients
1 cup self-rising flour (plus more for dusting)
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt until a sticky dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 3–4 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and shape each into a ball.
- Roll each ball out into a circle or oval, about 1/4-inch thick.
- Heat a skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook each piece of naan for 2–3 minutes per side, until puffed and golden spots appear.
- Optionally brush with melted butter or garlic oil before serving.
Notes
Add garlic or herbs to the dough for extra flavor.
Use whole wheat self-rising flour for a healthier version.
Add cheese before cooking for cheesy naan.
Top with za’atar, sesame seeds, or chili flakes after cooking.
Use as a base for flatbread pizzas or sandwich wraps.
