Description

A quick and fun breakfast idea, these 5-Minute Waffle & Fruit Skewers combine bite-sized waffles with fresh strawberries and banana slices, topped with a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Perfect for busy mornings or as a playful treat.

Ingredients

Mini waffles (homemade or store-bought)

1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved

1 banana, peeled and sliced into ½-inch rounds

Chocolate sauce, for drizzling

Wooden or bamboo skewers (6–8 inches)

Instructions

  1. If using whole or frozen waffles, toast or warm them until crisp, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Wash and hull strawberries, then slice the banana into ½-inch thick rounds.
  3. Alternate waffle pieces and fruit on the skewers, leaving about an inch at the end for a handle.
  4. Drizzle chocolate sauce over the assembled skewers.
  5. Serve immediately to maintain crispness and freshness.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh; store undrizzled in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 day.

Use gluten-free waffles if needed for dietary preferences.

Try swapping in blueberries, kiwi, or pineapple for variation.

Nutella or peanut butter can be used instead of chocolate sauce for a richer twist.

Top with chopped nuts or granola for extra texture.
