Description

Quick and easy air fryer chocolate chip cookies with crispy edges and soft centers, perfect for a fast homemade treat without heating up the kitchen.


Ingredients

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup brown sugar (or use all white sugar if preferred)

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt (optional)

¾ cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 3 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well to combine.
  4. Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop small dough balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place them on parchment paper inside the air fryer basket, leaving enough space between each for spreading.
  6. Cook at 320°F (160°C) for 7-9 minutes, or until the cookies turn golden brown around the edges.
  7. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra soft cookies, slightly underbake and let them cool inside the air fryer.

You can substitute chocolate chips with white chocolate chunks, nuts, dried cranberries, or shredded coconut for variations.

Swapping half the flour for oat flour gives a healthier twist.

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Refresh cookies in the air fryer at 300°F for 2-3 minutes to regain crispiness.

Chill dough for 15-20 minutes if cookies spread too much during cooking.
