Description

Juicy, protein-packed turkey burgers blended with creamy avocado, fresh herbs, and a touch of spice—grilled to golden perfection. A healthy, flavorful option that fits gluten-free, low-carb, and Whole30 diets.

Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey (preferably dark meat)

1 large avocado, diced

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tbsp olive oil (for grilling)

Lettuce leaves, tomato slices, red onion, and condiments for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, diced avocado, parsley, green onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Gently mix with hands until just combined, being careful not to mash the avocado.
  3. Shape mixture into 4 even patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat or preheat grill to medium-high.
  5. Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve in lettuce wraps or buns with tomato slices, red onion, and preferred condiments.

Notes

Use firm, ripe avocado to maintain texture in the patties.

Chill patties before cooking if they feel too soft.

Can be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

To meal prep, shape patties and store in the fridge (uncooked) up to 24 hours ahead.

Leftover patties can be refrigerated for 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
