Description

Big Mac Style Smash Burger Tacos combine the iconic flavors of a classic Big Mac with the fun format of tacos. Crispy smashed beef, melty cheese, tangy pickles, and a creamy special sauce come together in this quick, crave-worthy street food fusion.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)

6 small flour tortillas

6 slices cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce

1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

2 teaspoons sweet pickle relish

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt to taste

Salt and pepper, to season beef

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to make the special sauce. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Divide ground beef into 6 equal portions and roll into loose balls.
  3. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  4. Place a tortilla on the hot surface and immediately top with a beef ball.
  5. Using a sturdy spatula, smash the beef flat onto the tortilla. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the beef is browned and the tortilla is slightly crispy underneath.
  7. Flip the taco so the beef side is down. Place a slice of cheddar on top and cook for another 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  8. Repeat with remaining beef and tortillas.
  9. Top each taco with shredded lettuce, chopped onions, sliced pickles, and a generous drizzle of the special sauce.

Notes

Swap cheddar for American cheese for a more classic Big Mac flavor.

Add jalapeños or pepper jack cheese for a spicier version.

Use low-carb tortillas or lettuce wraps for a low-carb option.

Ground turkey or plant-based meat works well as a beef alternative.

Store components separately to maintain texture; do not store fully assembled tacos.
