Description
These Big Mac Wraps deliver all the classic flavors of a Big Mac in a fresh, low-carb tortilla wrap—juicy seasoned beef, crunchy pickles, melty cheese, and that iconic special sauce, all wrapped up for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (85% lean)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 large flour tortillas or low-carb wraps
4 slices cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
1/4 cup diced white onion
1/2 cup dill pickle slices
For the special sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Pinch of paprika
Instructions
- Mix all the special sauce ingredients in a bowl, stir well, and refrigerate to let the flavors meld while cooking the beef.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the beef for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking it apart until browned and cooked through, then drain excess grease.
- Warm the tortillas slightly in a pan or microwave to make them flexible.
- Lay a tortilla flat, spread about 2 tablespoons of special sauce in the center.
- Add a layer of cooked beef, a slice of cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, diced onion, and pickle slices.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll tightly to keep everything inside.
- Optional: Place the wrap seam-side down on a hot skillet for 1 to 2 minutes until lightly toasted to seal and crisp.
- Serve immediately with extra special sauce or favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Special sauce tastes better if made ahead and chilled for a few hours or overnight.
Substitute flour tortillas with low-carb wraps, whole wheat tortillas, or large lettuce leaves for gluten-free or lighter options.
Warming tortillas before assembling helps keep wraps from falling apart.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat in a skillet rather than microwave to avoid sogginess.
Freezing assembled wraps is not recommended due to texture changes in lettuce and pickles; freeze beef and sauce separately instead.
To spice it up, add hot sauce to the special sauce or crushed red pepper flakes on the beef.
