Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup sliced pickles
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 teaspoons burger seasoning (garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper)
1/4 cup barbecue sauce or ranch dressing
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef along with the burger seasoning.
- Cook the beef for 7 to 10 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks, until browned and fully cooked.
- While the beef cooks, shred the romaine lettuce, dice the tomatoes, and slice the pickles.
- Once the beef is cooked, remove it from heat and drain any excess grease if needed.
- Assemble each bowl by adding shredded lettuce as the base.
- Top with cooked beef, diced tomatoes, sliced pickles, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Drizzle barbecue sauce or ranch dressing over the top.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Swap ground beef with ground turkey for a lighter option.
Add toppings like avocado, sautéed mushrooms, or onions for extra flavor.
For a homemade burger sauce, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
Store cooked beef separately in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Keep fresh ingredients separate until serving to maintain texture.
