Description

Soft, golden dough balls filled with gooey caramel and warm spiced apple pie filling. These Caramel Apple Pie Bombs are a quick and cozy handheld dessert, perfect for fall or festive occasions.

Ingredients

1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)

1 cup apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces

8 soft caramel candies

2 tablespoons melted butter

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch round using your hands or a rolling pin.
  3. Place about 1 tablespoon of chopped apple pie filling in the center of each round, then add a soft caramel candy.
  4. Carefully pinch the dough edges together to seal and roll into a ball.
  5. Place the sealed dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 13–16 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. While still warm, brush each pie bomb with melted butter.
  8. Roll each in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar until fully coated.
  9. Serve warm for the best gooey caramel experience.

Notes

Use crescent roll dough for a lighter texture.

Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top for a salted caramel twist.

Add nutmeg or allspice to the sugar mix for extra warmth.

Homemade apple pie filling adds a rustic touch.

Drizzle with caramel sauce for extra indulgence.

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temp (2 days) or refrigerated (4 days).

Reheat in oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5–7 minutes or microwave for 15–20 seconds.
