Ingredients
1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
2 large eggs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Your favorite dipping sauce (ranch, buffalo, or BBQ)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow bowl, whisk the eggs.
- In a third shallow bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese (if using).
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the flour mixture, then the egg, and finally the breadcrumb mixture, making sure each piece is evenly coated.
- Place the coated cauliflower bites on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil for an extra crispy texture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cauliflower bites are golden and crispy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
To reheat, use an oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 10 minutes or air fry for 5 minutes.
For a gluten-free version, swap the flour and breadcrumbs for gluten-free alternatives.
Adding cayenne pepper or chili flakes will spice them up!
If you prefer a dairy-free option, skip the Parmesan cheese.
