Description

A rich and comforting pasta dish made with tender ground beef, bowtie pasta, and a creamy Parmesan sauce. This hearty meal is perfect for busy weeknights and delivers cozy, satisfying flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

2 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  4. Add Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes if using. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until slightly reduced.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan before serving.

Notes

Swap ground beef for ground turkey or Italian sausage for a different flavor profile.

Add vegetables such as mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers for extra nutrition.

For a richer flavor, add a splash of white wine while the sauce simmers.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat with a splash of milk or beef broth to loosen the sauce.

Freezing is not recommended as cream-based sauces may separate.
