Description

A rich and elegant no-bake dessert made with layers of silky chocolate mousse, fluffy whipped cream, and crunchy chocolate cookie crumbs, beautifully presented in individual glasses.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 1/2 cups heavy cream, divided

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs

1/2 cup whipped cream (for layering)

1/4 cup chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips

Fresh berries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 cup of heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer, without boiling.
  2. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Let sit for 2–3 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy to form a ganache. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the remaining 1/2 cup heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the cooled ganache to create a light chocolate mousse.
  5. Spoon a layer of chocolate mousse into serving glasses. Add a layer of chocolate cookie crumbs, followed by a layer of whipped cream. Repeat layers until glasses are filled, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings and fresh berries if desired.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the parfaits to set.

Notes

Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor or milk chocolate for a sweeter taste.

Add a layer of caramel sauce for extra indulgence.

Chopped strawberries or raspberries can be added for a fruity twist.

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

For best texture, let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before serving.
