1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon milk (for glaze)

1 drop vanilla extract (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until a smooth batter forms, scraping the sides and bottom of the mug.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter to form a thick paste.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the batter and gently swirl with a knife or toothpick to create a ribbon effect.
  5. Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds, until the top is set but the center remains soft. Avoid overcooking.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
