Description
Sweet, juicy peaches baked with a cinnamon sugar topping, creating a warm and comforting summer dessert.
Ingredients
4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Optional: Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the peaches in half and remove the pits. Arrange the peach halves in a baking dish, cut side up.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the peach halves.
- Drizzle the melted butter and vanilla extract over the peaches.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the peaches are soft and caramelized.
- Once done, remove the peaches from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Optionally, top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
If using canned peaches, make sure to drain them thoroughly to avoid extra liquid in the baking dish.
For a nutty twist, sprinkle chopped pecans or almonds on top before baking.
You can swap out the butter for coconut oil for a dairy-free alternative.
For added sweetness, drizzle honey over the peaches before serving.
Try adding raspberries or blackberries for a mixed berry topping.
