Description

A creamy and flavorful garlic Parmesan chicken pasta with tender chicken, a rich creamy sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. A comforting and quick meal perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

8 ounces penne or fettuccine pasta

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer gently for 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the drained pasta. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated in the creamy sauce and heated through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.

Swap chicken for shrimp or sautéed mushrooms for a vegetarian version.

You can use any pasta you prefer, such as spaghetti or rigatoni.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To reheat, add a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce and keep it creamy.
