Description

This homemade Dollywood Cinnamon Bread is a pull-apart treat packed with buttery cinnamon-sugar layers and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze. It’s simple to make using frozen bread dough and perfect for breakfast, dessert, or snacking.

Ingredients

1 loaf frozen bread dough (thawed)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk (more as needed)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Roll out the thawed dough into an 8×12-inch rectangle.
  3. Brush the dough generously with melted butter.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
  5. Cut the dough into strips, stack them, and place them side-by-side into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Brush any leftover butter on top and sprinkle extra cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. While the bread is still warm, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread before serving.

Notes

Add chopped pecans or walnuts between the layers for crunch.

Mix in dried apples or raisins for a festive twist.

Swap vanilla glaze for a cream cheese or maple glaze for variation.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temp or 5 days in the fridge.

Reheat slices in the microwave for 15–20 seconds or warm in a low oven for 10 minutes.
