This homemade Dollywood Cinnamon Bread is a pull-apart treat packed with buttery cinnamon-sugar layers and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze. It’s simple to make using frozen bread dough and perfect for breakfast, dessert, or snacking.
Ingredients
1 loaf frozen bread dough (thawed)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk (more as needed)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Roll out the thawed dough into an 8×12-inch rectangle.
- Brush the dough generously with melted butter.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
- Cut the dough into strips, stack them, and place them side-by-side into the prepared loaf pan.
- Brush any leftover butter on top and sprinkle extra cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the bread is still warm, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread before serving.
Notes
Add chopped pecans or walnuts between the layers for crunch.
Mix in dried apples or raisins for a festive twist.
Swap vanilla glaze for a cream cheese or maple glaze for variation.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temp or 5 days in the fridge.
