Ingredients
4 cups fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed)
1 cup granulated sugar, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Spread the blueberries evenly in the prepared dish and sprinkle with 1/4 cup of the sugar.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 3/4 cup sugar, and baking powder.
- Stir in the milk and melted butter until a smooth batter forms.
- Pour the batter evenly over the blueberries without stirring.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
- Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
