Ingredients
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 tablespoons hot cocoa mix
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups milk (any variety)
3 cups ice
Whipped cream (for topping)
Chocolate shavings or sprinkles (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate chips in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Stir in the hot cocoa mix and sugar until fully combined.
- Whisk in 1/2 cup of milk gradually until the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Pour the cooled chocolate mixture into a blender.
- Add the remaining 1 cup of milk and 3 cups of ice to the blender. Blend until frothy and well mixed.
- Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles, if desired.
- Serve immediately.
