Description

Tender sirloin steak bites seared to perfection and tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce with herbs and a hint of spice. A quick, flavorful, and indulgent meal ready in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)

1/4 tsp black pepper (or to taste)

4 tbsp unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1 tsp fresh thyme (optional)

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add steak cubes in a single layer, searing for 2-3 minutes on each side until a brown crust forms; cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.
  4. Remove steak bites from skillet and set aside.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet.
  6. Once butter melts, stir in minced garlic, thyme (if using), and red pepper flakes (if using); cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, careful not to burn the garlic.
  7. Return steak bites to skillet, toss in garlic butter sauce, and cook for another 1-2 minutes to meld flavors.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, roasted vegetables, or steamed broccoli.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Reheat gently in a skillet over medium heat; avoid microwaving to prevent toughness.

Variations include swapping sirloin for ribeye or flank steak, adding heavy cream for a creamier sauce, or using coconut oil for a dairy-free option.

Adding mushrooms or caramelized onions makes the dish heartier.
