Description

A quick and crowd-pleasing appetizer, Hot Honey Garlic Lil Smokies feature bite-sized sausages in a sticky, sweet-and-spicy glaze made with honey, garlic, and hot sauce. Ready in just 15 minutes, they’re perfect for parties, game day, or snack cravings.

Ingredients

1 (14-ounce) package chicken or turkey Lil Smokies sausages

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/3 cup honey

2 tablespoons hot sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add Lil Smokies and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and heated through.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, and soy sauce.
  5. Pour the sauce over the sausages, stirring to coat evenly.
  6. Simmer for another 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with red pepper flakes and fresh herbs if using.
  8. Serve warm with toothpicks for easy grabbing.

Notes

Use beef or pork Lil Smokies for a richer flavor.

Adjust the spice level by reducing hot sauce or omitting red pepper flakes.

Add smoked paprika or a splash of apple cider vinegar for extra flavor.

Mix in pineapple chunks or bell peppers for a tropical twist.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in skillet or microwave.
