Description

Ingredients

2 cups raw pecan halves

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon orange zest

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1 tablespoon brown sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix maple syrup, orange zest, cinnamon, ginger, salt, cayenne pepper (if using), and brown sugar into a glaze.
  3. Add pecans and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Spread pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, stirring once halfway through for even browning.
  6. Let pecans cool completely on the tray to crisp up.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
