Description

Rich and creamy no bake peanut butter bars topped with smooth melted chocolate, made with simple pantry ingredients and perfect for parties, holidays, or an easy sweet treat.


Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups graham cracker crumbs

2 cups powdered sugar

1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter (for chocolate topping)


Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and 1 1/2 cups peanut butter. Stir until smooth and fully incorporated.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with the remaining 1/4 cup peanut butter in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly to cover the surface.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm and fully set.
  7. Lift the bars out using the parchment overhang, slice into 24 squares or rectangles, and serve chilled or slightly softened at room temperature.

Notes

For a crunchier texture, use crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy.

Dark chocolate chips can be substituted for a richer, less sweet flavor.

Sprinkle sea salt on top before chilling for a sweet and salty contrast.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Freeze for up to 3 months with parchment paper between layers; thaw before serving.

For clean slices, chill thoroughly and wipe the knife clean between cuts.
