Description

A fun, no-cook twist on the classic PB&J sandwich, these Peanut Butter ‘n’ Jelly Kebabs combine creamy peanut butter, fruity jam, and fresh fruit on skewers for a playful, portable snack ideal for kids and adults alike.


Ingredients

4 slices whole wheat or white sandwich bread

4 tablespoons peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

4 tablespoons strawberry or raspberry jam

1 banana, sliced into rounds

810 strawberries, hulled and halved

1 apple, cut into cubes (optional)

Wooden skewers


Instructions

  1. Lay out the bread slices on a clean surface.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and 1 tablespoon of jam onto each slice.
  3. Roll each slice tightly into a log, then slice each roll into 1-inch rounds.
  4. Using wooden skewers, alternate threading the bread rounds with banana slices, strawberries, and apple cubes if using.
  5. Repeat the process until all ingredients are used.
  6. Serve immediately or wrap in foil for a portable snack.

Notes

Use soft sandwich bread so it rolls easily without tearing.

Swap out peanut butter for sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
