Description

Crispy fries loaded with tender steak, melted cheese, and a blend of savory toppings – the ultimate comfort food, perfect for any meal or gathering.

Ingredients

4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries

1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced

1 onion, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cups shredded provolone cheese

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon butter

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange the potato fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  2. While the fries are baking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and let it melt. Add the sliced steak to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they soften and caramelize. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and return the steak to the pan. Stir to combine and heat through.
  4. Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and top them with the steak, peppers, onions, and shredded provolone cheese.
  5. Return the loaded fries to the oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a different flavor, swap provolone for mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend of cheeses.

Pre-make the fries and steak and refrigerate to assemble and bake later.

Frozen fries can be used as a time-saver; follow the instructions on the package before continuing the recipe.

Feel free to add toppings like sautéed mushrooms, jalapeños, or a drizzle of ranch or hot sauce.
