Description

Ingredients

4 slices of bread

4 tablespoons butter, softened

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tablespoons pizza sauce

1/4 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Spread pizza sauce on the unbuttered side of two slices of bread.
  4. Layer the sauce with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni (if using), oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Top the sandwiches with the remaining slices of bread, ensuring the buttered side is facing out.
  6. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until the bread is golden and crispy and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove the sandwiches from heat and slice them in half before serving.

Notes
