Description

A creamy, savory, no-bake appetizer made with cream cheese, sharp cheddar, chopped salami, and green onions. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or holiday spreads, this cheese ball is easy to make ahead and serve with crackers or veggies.


Ingredients

2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

1 bunch green onions, finely chopped

¼ lb – ⅓ lb hard salami, diced small

3 tbsp mayonnaise

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

¼ tsp salt

⅛ tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer, add the softened cream cheese.
  2. Mix in the chopped green onions, diced salami, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Lay out a sheet of plastic wrap and spoon the mixture onto it. Cover with another sheet of plastic wrap and shape into a ball, log, or mold.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  5. Serve with crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Swap salami for pepperoni or prosciutto for variety.

Roll in chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for extra texture.

Add hot sauce or smoked paprika for a spicy kick.

Mix in diced pickles or roasted red peppers for a tangy twist.

Use light cream cheese and less mayo for a lighter version.
