Description

These Slow Cooker Lipton Onion Potatoes are an easy, flavorful side dish that’s tender and savory, thanks to the Lipton Onion Soup Mix and slow cooking.


Ingredients

4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks

1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks, then place them in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the Lipton Onion Soup Mix evenly over the potatoes, making sure they’re well-seasoned.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup of water over the potatoes and add the butter pieces on top.
  4. Stir everything gently to combine the ingredients.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook the potatoes on low for 6-7 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until tender.
  6. Before serving, stir the potatoes again and garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired.

Notes

For a cheesy twist, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top about 15 minutes before the cooking time is up.

Add a sprig of rosemary or thyme for an herby aroma.

Sprinkle cooked bacon bits on top before serving for added flavor.

Try adding carrots or parsnips to the slow cooker for a veggie-packed side dish.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
