Description
Deliciously cheesy, crispy spinach dip-inspired cheese crisps that are quick to make and perfect as an appetizer, snack, or party treat.
Ingredients
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped (or frozen, thawed, and squeezed dry)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a medium bowl, combine mozzarella, Parmesan, sour cream, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper.
- Stir in the chopped spinach until everything is well mixed.
- Using a spoon or your hands, form small mounds of the mixture on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart, and flatten each mound slightly.
- Bake the crisps for 12-15 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy around the edges.
- Let the crisps cool slightly before serving.
- Optionally, sprinkle extra Parmesan or red pepper flakes on top for extra flavor and garnish with chopped green onions or a drizzle of sour cream.
Notes
Use frozen spinach if fresh is unavailable; thaw and squeeze dry to avoid soggy crisps.
Try different cheeses like cheddar or gouda for flavor variations.
Add smoked paprika or chili powder for heat.
Swap spinach with kale or arugula as alternatives.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for about 5 minutes to regain crispiness.
Microwaving is possible but may soften the crisps.
