Description
A creamy and cozy strawberry hot chocolate made with white chocolate and fresh strawberry puree, creating a sweet, fruity, and beautifully pink drink perfect for chilly evenings.
Ingredients
2 cups whole milk (or milk of choice)
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup strawberry puree (from about 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whipped cream for topping
Fresh strawberries and grated white chocolate for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Blend 1 cup of fresh or thawed frozen strawberries until smooth to make the puree. Strain if desired to remove seeds.
- Heat the milk in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling.
- Add the white chocolate chips and whisk until fully melted and smooth.
- Stir in the strawberry puree and vanilla extract. Continue stirring until well combined and heated through.
- Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream. Garnish with fresh strawberries or grated white chocolate if desired.
Notes
Substitute half of the milk with heavy cream for a richer texture.
Add sugar or honey if a sweeter taste is preferred.
A tiny drop of red food coloring can enhance the pink color.
Dark or milk chocolate can be used instead of white chocolate for a different flavor.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat gently.
