This Super Easy Stir-Fried Cabbage is a quick and flavorful side dish made with fresh cabbage, garlic, ginger, and a savory blend of sauces. Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s a healthy, low-calorie option that pairs well with many main dishes.
Ingredients
1 small head green cabbage, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sliced cabbage and stir-fry for 5 to 7 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
- Serve hot as a side dish.
Notes
Use Napa or savoy cabbage as alternatives.
Add shredded carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms, or tofu for variations.
Use vegetarian oyster sauce or omit for a vegetarian version.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a pan or microwave. Not recommended for freezing.
