Description
Tater Tot Chips are a delightful, crispy snack that’s perfect for any occasion. With a golden, crunchy texture and a burst of flavor, these baked chips are a fun twist on traditional tater tots.
Ingredients
1 bag of frozen tater tots (about 32 oz)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Optional toppings: chopped fresh parsley, grated parmesan, or dipping sauces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
- Spread the frozen tater tots out evenly on the baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they are not overlapping.
- Drizzle olive oil over the tater tots, then sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss them to make sure every tot is evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.
- Bake the tater tots in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure an even golden brown crispiness.
- Once they are golden and crispy, remove the tater tots from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Optional: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, grated parmesan, or serve with your favorite dipping sauces for an added touch of flavor.
Notes
For variations, try adding cayenne pepper for a spicy kick or cheese for a melty twist.
If using homemade tater tots, follow the same seasoning and baking instructions.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
Sweet potato tots can be used as an alternative for a slightly sweeter flavor.
