Description

This Best Breakfast Pizza features a crispy crust topped with melted mozzarella and cheddar, savory bacon, and perfectly baked eggs. It is a hearty and satisfying dish perfect for brunch or breakfast-for-dinner.

Ingredients

1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 large eggs

4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled (or sausage if preferred)

1/4 cup green onions, chopped

1/4 tsp black pepper

Salt, to taste

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  2. Brush the dough with olive oil and bake for 5 to 7 minutes, until it begins to crisp slightly.
  3. Remove from the oven and sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheeses evenly over the crust.
  4. Scatter the crumbled bacon and chopped green onions over the cheese.
  5. Create four small wells in the cheese layer and carefully crack an egg into each well. Season with black pepper and salt.
  6. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the egg whites are set and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

Swap bacon for cooked breakfast sausage or turkey sausage for variation.

Add sautéed bell peppers, spinach, or mushrooms for extra vegetables.

Sprinkle red pepper flakes or drizzle hot sauce for added heat.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat in a 350°F oven for 8 to 10 minutes to maintain a crispy crust.

Freeze fully baked and cooled slices for up to 2 months and reheat from frozen in the oven.
