1½ cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Cooked pasta of your choice (fettuccine, linguine, penne, etc.)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently.
- Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the sauce with freshly cooked pasta until evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for best melting and texture.
Do not let the garlic brown—it can turn bitter.
Add cooked chicken, shrimp, or pancetta for a protein boost.
Red pepper flakes can be added for heat.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheat gently and add a splash of cream or milk to loosen if needed.
