Description
A refreshing and naturally sweet summer drink made with juicy watermelon, zesty lemon, and fresh mint. Perfect for hot days and easy to make in just a few minutes.
Ingredients
4 cups cubed seedless watermelon (cold)
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
2–4 tbsp honey, agave, or sugar (adjust to taste)
1–2 cups cold water (depending on desired thickness)
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
Ice cubes (for serving)
Lemon slices & mint sprigs (for garnish)
Optional: A pinch of salt (enhances sweetness & hydration)
Optional: Sparkling water instead of still, for a fizzy twist
Optional: A splash of vodka or rum for an adult version
Instructions
- Blend the watermelon, lemon juice, sweetener, mint leaves, and 1 cup of water in a blender until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher for a smoother texture (optional).
- Adjust the thickness with more water if needed and sweeten to taste, stirring well.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavors meld (optional).
- Pour the lemonade over ice in glasses and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint.
Notes
Swap still water for sparkling water to make it fizzy.
Adding a pinch of salt enhances sweetness and hydration.
For an adult version, add a splash of vodka or rum.
Leftover lemonade can be frozen into popsicles or ice cubes for smoothies.
Best served cold; stir before serving if stored in the fridge.
