Description
A creamy and tangy whipped feta dip made with feta cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and garlic. This Mediterranean-inspired dip is smooth, zesty, and perfect for parties, snacking, or as a sandwich spread.
Ingredients
8 oz feta cheese, block-style
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (whole milk preferred)
1 tablespoon olive oil, plus more for topping
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional toppings: crushed red pepper, chopped herbs, drizzle of honey
Instructions
- Crumble the block of feta cheese into a food processor and pulse a few times to break it down.
- Add the Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and black pepper.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding more lemon or garlic if desired.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and top with a drizzle of olive oil or honey, and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or herbs.
- Serve with warm pita, crackers, or fresh veggies.
Notes
Use block-style feta for the creamiest result—crumbled feta can be drier.
For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like dill or parsley.
Can be made a day ahead; flavors deepen after chilling.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Do not reheat; serve cold or at room temperature.
