Description

A colorful no-bake trifle layered with fluffy angel food cake, creamy white chocolate pudding, whipped topping, and fresh strawberries and blueberries. This festive dessert is light, refreshing, and perfect for summer gatherings and patriotic celebrations.

Ingredients

6.8 ounces instant white chocolate pudding (2 boxes, 3.4 ounces each)

4 cups cold whole milk

14 ounces angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes

16 ounces whipped topping, thawed

32 ounces fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, sliced, and patted dry

18 ounces fresh blueberries, washed and dried

Extra strawberries and blueberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the instant white chocolate pudding according to the package directions using the cold whole milk. Refrigerate until fully set.
  2. Place a layer of angel food cake cubes in the bottom of a large trifle bowl.
  3. Spoon half of the prepared pudding evenly over the cake.
  4. Arrange sliced strawberries around the inside edge of the bowl, then spread a layer of strawberries over the pudding.
  5. Add a layer of fresh blueberries.
  6. Spread half of the whipped topping evenly over the berries.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake cubes, pudding, strawberries, blueberries, and whipped topping.
  8. Smooth the top layer of whipped topping and garnish with extra strawberries and blueberries.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to blend.

Notes

Substitute vanilla cheesecake or French vanilla pudding for a different flavor.

Add fresh raspberries between the layers for extra color and tartness.

Use homemade whipped cream instead of whipped topping if desired.

Drizzle melted white chocolate over the top for an elegant finish.

Serve in individual dessert glasses for parties.

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Do not freeze, as the fruit and topping may lose their texture.

Fresh berries provide the best appearance and texture.
