Description

These Air Fryer Chicken Legs are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with bold seasoning. A quick and easy dinner recipe perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep.


Ingredients

6 chicken drumsticks

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the chicken legs with olive oil and coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken legs.
  7. Continue cooking for another 10–12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a barbecue flavor, add a little brown sugar and barbecue seasoning.

Increase the cayenne pepper or add chili powder for extra heat.

Try oregano, thyme, and lemon zest for a Mediterranean-inspired variation.

Add grated Parmesan cheese during the last few minutes of cooking for a savory finish.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Freeze for up to 3 months and thaw overnight before reheating.

Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 4–6 minutes or in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10–15 minutes.
