These Air Fryer Chicken Legs are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with bold seasoning. A quick and easy dinner recipe perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep.
Ingredients
6 chicken drumsticks
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the chicken legs with olive oil and coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken legs.
- Continue cooking for another 10–12 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a barbecue flavor, add a little brown sugar and barbecue seasoning.
Increase the cayenne pepper or add chili powder for extra heat.
Try oregano, thyme, and lemon zest for a Mediterranean-inspired variation.
Add grated Parmesan cheese during the last few minutes of cooking for a savory finish.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
