Description

This Angel Food Berry Trifle is a light, refreshing no-bake dessert layered with fluffy angel food cake, creamy vanilla pudding, whipped topping, and fresh berries. It’s perfect for summer gatherings, holidays, potlucks, or any occasion when you want an easy yet elegant dessert.

Ingredients

1 angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes

1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix

1½ cups milk

12 oz whipped topping

1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced

1 pint fresh blueberries

½ cup fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Cut the angel food cake into 1-inch bite-sized cubes.
  2. Whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture until fully combined and creamy.
  4. Spread one-third of the pudding mixture into the bottom of a trifle bowl.
  5. Add a layer of sliced strawberries and blueberries.
  6. Top with half of the angel food cake cubes.
  7. Spread another one-third of the pudding mixture over the cake and add another layer of berries.
  8. Arrange the remaining angel food cake cubes on top.
  9. Spread the remaining pudding mixture evenly over the top.
  10. Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend and the cake to soften slightly.
  11. Just before serving, garnish with the raspberries and any remaining strawberries and blueberries.

Notes

For a flavor variation, substitute cheesecake or white chocolate instant pudding.

Add lemon zest to the pudding mixture for a bright citrus flavor.

Fresh berries are recommended, but frozen berries can be used if thawed and well-drained.

Homemade whipped cream may be substituted for whipped topping.

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Do not freeze.

This recipe can also be assembled in individual dessert cups.
