Description

A warm and comforting apple caramel cobbler made with tender spiced apples and a rich, buttery topping. Perfect for cozy evenings or sharing with family.

Ingredients

6 medium apples, sliced

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup caramel sauce

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/3 cup melted butter

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and caramel sauce until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the apple mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Stir in the melted butter, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until a thick batter forms.
  6. Spoon the batter evenly over the apples.
  7. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best texture.

Add chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.

Drizzle additional caramel sauce before serving for deeper flavor.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat in the oven at 300°F to maintain a crisp topping.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
