Description

A rich and creamy one-pot pasta made with seasoned ground beef, garlic, Parmesan, and mozzarella for a comforting family-friendly dinner. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

4 cloves garlic, minced

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

3 cups beef broth

2 cups heavy cream

1 tablespoon olive oil

12 oz penne or fettuccine pasta

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking it apart as it browns. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Stir in the diced onion and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, then stir in the uncooked pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
  7. Stir in the butter, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  8. Let the pasta rest for 2 to 3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Add mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, peas, or bell peppers for extra vegetables.

Substitute ground turkey or Italian sausage for the ground beef if desired.

Replace part of the mozzarella with provolone or white cheddar for a sharper cheese flavor.

Increase the red pepper flakes for extra heat.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.

Reheat with a splash of milk, cream, or beef broth to restore the creamy texture.
