Description
A spicy, tangy Buffalo Chicken Pizza topped with creamy Ranch, tender shredded chicken, mozzarella, blue cheese, and red onion. Finished with green onions and parsley, it is perfect for game day, parties, or an easy family dinner.
Ingredients
1 ball pizza dough (12 to 16 ounces / 340 to 450g)
¼ cup buffalo sauce, plus more for serving (60mL)
¼ cup Ranch dressing, plus more for serving (60mL)
1½ cups shredded cooked chicken (200g)
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (170g)
¼ cup crumbled blue cheese (42g)
¼ cup thinly sliced red onion (25g)
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it on the middle rack before preheating.
- Stretch the risen pizza dough into a 12- to 14-inch circle. Shape it on a large sheet pan or on a piece of foil lightly coated with olive oil spray if using a pizza stone.
- Stir the buffalo sauce and Ranch dressing together in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Spread half of the buffalo-Ranch mixture over the pizza dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edge.
- Add the shredded cooked chicken to the remaining buffalo-Ranch mixture and toss until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and crumbled blue cheese evenly over the sauced pizza crust.
- Distribute the buffalo chicken mixture over the cheese, then top with the sliced red onion.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with additional buffalo sauce or Ranch dressing, if desired.
- Top with sliced green onions and chopped parsley. Slice and serve hot.
Notes
For a milder pizza, use mild buffalo sauce or reduce the buffalo sauce and increase the Ranch dressing.
For extra heat, drizzle additional buffalo sauce over the baked pizza or add sliced jalapeños before baking.
Blue cheese can be replaced with extra mozzarella, Monterey Jack, cheddar, or provolone.
Shredded rotisserie chicken is a convenient substitute for other cooked chicken.
Diced bell peppers, sliced celery, or extra red onion can be added for additional texture.
Start checking the pizza around the 10-minute mark, as baking time varies with crust thickness and the baking surface.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
Reheat slices in a covered skillet over medium-low heat or in a 375°F (190°C) oven for 5 to 10 minutes.
Cooled slices can be frozen individually and reheated in the oven until hot and crisp.
Serve with celery sticks, carrot sticks, Ranch or blue cheese dressing, a green salad, or coleslaw.
