Description
A creamy, tangy frozen drink that blends fresh lemon juice with sweet vanilla ice cream for a refreshing copycat of Chick-fil-A’s famous frosted lemonade.
Ingredients
1⅓ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup very cold water
6 cups vanilla bean ice cream
4 to 5 drops yellow food coloring (optional)
Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar to a blender. Blend on low speed for 30 to 45 seconds until the sugar begins to dissolve.
- With the blender running on low, slowly drizzle in the very cold water and blend for another 10 to 15 seconds until combined.
- Add the vanilla bean ice cream and optional yellow food coloring. Pulse on low until smooth, creamy, and fully blended.
- Pour into glasses, garnish with lemon slices if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh lemon juice for the brightest flavor; bottled juice can be used but may taste less vibrant.
Adjust sweetness by reducing sugar or increasing lemon juice.
Frozen lemonade concentrate can be used for a stronger citrus taste.
Swap in low-fat or dairy-free ice cream for a lighter or dairy-free version.
Add strawberries or raspberries for a fruity twist.
Best served immediately; if frozen, re-blend after softening slightly to restore texture.
