Description

Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese is a quick and comforting sandwich featuring buttery garlic bread and a gooey blend of melted mozzarella and cheddar. Crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside, it’s perfect for lunch, dinner, or a satisfying snack.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter, softened

1/2 tablespoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

4 slices bread

1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley until smooth.
  2. Spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread butter-side down and evenly divide the shredded cheese between them.
  4. Top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  5. Heat a large skillet over low heat and cook the sandwiches for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes, until the second side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

Try provolone, Monterey Jack, Gruyère, Swiss, or pepper jack for different flavors.

Add sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, caramelized onions, spinach, turkey or grilled chicken for variety.

Thick-cut white bread, sourdough, Texas toast, or artisan bread all work well.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheat in a skillet over low heat for the crispiest texture.

Garlic butter can be prepared up to 1 week in advance and refrigerated.

Air fryer option: Cook at 370°F (188°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
