Description

These hot pink watermelon jello wedges are a fun, no-bake dessert made in lime rinds for a playful watermelon look. Bright, fruity, and perfect for parties or summer gatherings.

Ingredients

3 limes, halved and thoroughly scooped out

1 box hot pink watermelon gelatin dessert

1 cup boiling water

1/2 cup cold clear soda

1 tbsp black sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Whisk the watermelon gelatin powder into the boiling water until fully dissolved.
  2. Stir in the cold clear soda, then gently mix in the black sesame seeds.
  3. Place the hollowed lime halves in a muffin tin to keep them upright.
  4. Carefully pour the gelatin mixture into each lime half until filled to the brim.
  5. Refrigerate for about 4 hours or until completely set.
  6. Once firm, use a sharp knife dipped in warm water to slice each lime half into wedges.
  7. Serve chilled.

Notes

Use strawberry or cherry gelatin for a similar bright color with a flavor twist.

Swap clear soda for lemon-lime soda to enhance citrus flavor.

Add extra black sesame seeds on top for a more decorative look.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Keep wedges in a single layer or separated with parchment paper to maintain shape.

Do not reheat; serve chilled for best texture.
