This peach sweet tea is fruity, refreshing, and perfectly chilled, blending smooth tea with sweet peach flavor and balanced sweetness.
Ingredients
5 cups water, divided
1 family-size tea bag or 3 regular-size tea bags
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup honey
2 cups frozen peaches, thawed and pureed, or 2 cups fresh peaches peeled and sliced
2 cups frozen peaches, for serving
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
- Remove from heat and add the tea bag. Let it steep for 8 to 10 minutes depending on desired strength.
- Remove the tea bag and stir in the sugar and honey until fully dissolved.
- Add the peach puree and mix until well combined.
- Pour in the remaining 1 cup of water and stir.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature, then transfer to the refrigerator to chill completely.
- To serve, fill glasses or a pitcher with frozen peaches and pour the chilled tea over them.
Notes
Use fresh peaches when in season for brighter flavor.
Adjust sweetness by using only sugar or only honey if preferred.
Add a splash of lemon juice for a tangy variation.
Reduce sugar for a lighter version with more natural peach flavor.
Store in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days.
Keep frozen peaches separate to prevent dilution.
Stir well before serving if the tea has been sitting.
