Description

This Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet is a bright, refreshing frozen dessert made with ripe strawberries and fresh lemon juice. Smooth, fruity, and dairy-free, it is the perfect treat for warm days or a light dessert.

Ingredients

4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water

3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 tablespoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon corn syrup

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from the heat and let the syrup cool.
  2. Add the strawberries, lemon juice, lemon zest, corn syrup, and salt to a blender or food processor.
  3. Pour in the cooled syrup and blend until completely smooth.
  4. For an extra-smooth texture, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve if desired.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture for 1 to 2 hours until thoroughly chilled.
  6. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  7. Transfer the sorbet to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 3 hours before serving.
  8. Scoop and serve cold, garnished with fresh strawberries or lemon slices if desired.

Notes

For a mixed berry version, replace part of the strawberries with raspberries or blueberries.

Add a splash of orange juice for a sweeter citrus flavor.

Blend in a few fresh mint leaves for a refreshing herbal note.

Increase the lemon zest slightly for a stronger lemon flavor.

If you do not have an ice cream maker, freeze the mixture in a shallow container and stir every 30 to 45 minutes until frozen.

Store in an airtight freezer-safe container for up to 2 weeks with plastic wrap pressed against the surface to reduce ice crystals.

Let the sorbet sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes before scooping.
