Description

This silky, rich tofu chocolate mousse is a quick and satisfying dessert made with wholesome plant-based ingredients. Ready in just 5 minutes, it delivers a creamy texture and plenty of chocolate flavor with a boost of protein.


Ingredients

340 g extra-firm tofu

3 tablespoons maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

3 scoops vegan chocolate protein powder

1/3 cup coconut milk

Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Break the extra-firm tofu into chunks and add it to a blender.
  2. Add the maple syrup, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, vegan chocolate protein powder, coconut milk, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Blend until completely smooth and creamy. Add a small splash of extra coconut milk if needed to reach the desired consistency.
  4. Spoon the mousse into serving cups.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator before serving for the best texture, or enjoy immediately.

Notes

Add a tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter for a richer flavor.

Mix in a pinch of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate taste.

Replace maple syrup with agave syrup if desired.

Top with fresh berries, shaved dark chocolate, chopped nuts, or toasted coconut before serving.

Add a pinch of cinnamon for a warm flavor variation.

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and stir before serving if needed.
