Description

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites are an easy no-bake frozen treat made with ripe bananas, creamy peanut butter, and rich dark chocolate. They’re perfect for healthy snacking, meal prep, or a refreshing dessert.

Ingredients

3 ripe bananas

1/3 cup natural peanut butter

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

2 teaspoons coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into rounds about 1/4-inch thick.
  2. Line a baking sheet or platter with parchment paper.
  3. Spread about 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter onto one banana slice and top with another slice to create a small sandwich.
  4. Repeat until about 30 banana bites are assembled.
  5. Arrange the bites on the prepared tray and freeze for 1 hour, or until firm.
  6. Place the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute, stir, then continue heating in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  7. Remove half of the frozen banana bites from the freezer and dip each sandwich halfway into the melted chocolate.
  8. Return the coated bites to the parchment-lined tray and repeat with the remaining bites.
  9. Freeze for an additional 15 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set.
  10. Serve immediately or store in a freezer-safe container.

Notes

Substitute almond butter or cashew butter for peanut butter if desired.

Sprinkle chopped peanuts, shredded coconut, crushed freeze-dried strawberries, or flaky sea salt over the chocolate before it sets.

Drizzle with melted white chocolate after the coating hardens for an extra indulgent finish.

Store in an airtight freezer-safe container with parchment paper between layers for up to 2 months.

Let sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes before serving for the creamiest texture.
