These Stuffed Crust Pizza Snacks are cheesy, buttery, bite-sized treats with a gooey mozzarella center and savory pepperoni topping. They bake until golden brown and are perfect for parties, game days, or quick family snacks.
Ingredients
8 string cheese sticks, cut into 3 equal pieces
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1 roll (14 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust
24 slices regular pepperoni
Pizza sauce, optional for serving
Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly coat it with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cut each string cheese stick into 3 equal pieces.
- In a small bowl, combine the dried oregano, garlic powder, and grated parmesan cheese.
- Unroll the refrigerated pizza crust and cut it into 24 equal squares.
- Place one piece of string cheese in the center of each dough square. Wrap the dough tightly around the cheese and pinch the seams closed.
- Arrange the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each dough ball with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with the parmesan seasoning mixture.
- Press one slice of pepperoni onto the top of each dough ball.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
Notes
Substitute pepperoni with cooked Italian sausage for different flavors.
For a vegetarian option, use sliced olives, chopped bell peppers, or mushrooms instead of pepperoni.
Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat.
