Description

These Stuffed Crust Pizza Snacks are cheesy, buttery, bite-sized treats with a gooey mozzarella center and savory pepperoni topping. They bake until golden brown and are perfect for parties, game days, or quick family snacks.


Ingredients

8 string cheese sticks, cut into 3 equal pieces

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

1 roll (14 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust

24 slices regular pepperoni

Pizza sauce, optional for serving

Nonstick cooking spray


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly coat it with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cut each string cheese stick into 3 equal pieces.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the dried oregano, garlic powder, and grated parmesan cheese.
  4. Unroll the refrigerated pizza crust and cut it into 24 equal squares.
  5. Place one piece of string cheese in the center of each dough square. Wrap the dough tightly around the cheese and pinch the seams closed.
  6. Arrange the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush each dough ball with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with the parmesan seasoning mixture.
  8. Press one slice of pepperoni onto the top of each dough ball.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.

Notes

Substitute pepperoni with cooked Italian sausage for different flavors.

For a vegetarian option, use sliced olives, chopped bell peppers, or mushrooms instead of pepperoni.

Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat.

For an even cheesier snack, add a small pinch of shredded mozzarella alongside the string cheese.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
